The International Weather and Climate Forum
A not-to-be-missed event of mobilization and education
for everyone to act at his level!
International weather reporters make commitment to climate action, and invite you to join them in Paris in June 2018!
Responsible green finance: can investors make a real social impact?
Tackling global warming is urgent; we only have three years left to act. The IWF is an opportunity for professionals and climate experts to communicate and to interact with a wide audience of citizens as well as decision-makers!
Above all, we want the IWF to be a think tank for reflection and innovation, thus creating all the possible synergies to act. I am very grateful to the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, who has agreed to host the next three IWF editions, 2018-2019-2020, on the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville of Paris. I look forward to seeing you in June 2-5, 2018 for the 15th edition of the International Weather and Climate Forum.
Jean Jouzel, President of Météo et Climat, climatologist and former member of the IPCC Bureau, co- Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
In the context of Paris choosing the future by adopting its ambitious Plan Climat, I have the pleasure to welcome, on the Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville, the 15th International Weather and Climate Forum (IWF). This essential meeting, which connects scientific research and the general public, facilitates the sharing of experiences and encourages people to act. As a wonderful lab of ideas, the IWF creates a panel of possibilities by awakening minds.
It is the daily engagement and commitment of each of us that will enable us to achieve the goals we settled: reaching a low-carbon society relying on renewable energies by 2050. Mitigating global warming is a challenge that we need to win in order to preserve our planet and improve our citizens’ quality of life. Together we have the necessary tools and power to act, which is why I hope to see you numerous in Paris this June 2018 from the 2nd to the 5th.
Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris and president of the C40.
